Lisa Hertel is an artist from a long line of artists. She works in various media, including pottery, alcohol ink (an alcohol-soluble dye), encaustics (painting with hot wax), wire sculpture, watercolors, and paper-weaving. She teaches out of her studio in Haverhill MA (aka Riverdale). For the past few decades, Lisa has helped run various areas at various conventions, including being the Boskone Art Show Director for three years, the Publications Division head for Detcon, the Dealer’s Room coordinator for a couple of World Fantasy Conventions, the chair of Arisia in 2014, and the Youth Program head for Anticipation. Once upon a time, she worked as a pharmacist.
