On the last day of Chicon 8, September 5th, 2022, the convention had 3,574 warm bodies on site. Grand total membership was 6,500, more than Chicon 7!

2022 Hugo Award Ceremony: Winners and Finalists

Masquerade! Astounding Faces on Parade!
The Chicon 8 Masquerade was held on September 3rd, 2022 in the Grand Ballroom of the Chicago Hyatt Regency. As with previous Worldcons, the show began with a presentation of the entries, accompanied by wonderfully entertaining introductions by master of ceremonies, William Dezoma. Fifth Third “Bike the Drive”
Fifth Third Bike the Drive is a fundraiser event for the Active Transportation Alliance, a non-profit advocacy organization working to improve conditions for walking, biking, and public transit throughout Chicagoland.
